Charging via USB-C with MacBook Pro does not work

The USB-C to USB-C connection isn't working on my MacBook Pro 2019, which means you need a power cord on the wall and a cable to the computer to make it work. I spoke to support and they said it's probably because it's a Mac and not a PC. So return it and get another, more portable, more functional monitor.
