I recently started cycling and bought a used Giant hybrid bike. It's a really nice bike but I wanted to replace some of the parts on it as they looked a bit dirty from use. I bought these pedals because I felt the color went well with the black/metallic color scheme of the bike. I'm new to cycling so I watched some tutorial videos on how to change pedals before attempting it myself. After removing the old pedals, these pedals stood up very easily. Since then I've ridden them about 30 miles around the lake and haven't had any issues. The small spikes at the top keep my feet on the pedals very well without slipping. I am very happy with these pedals and their overall look on the bike. As a beginner, these mountain bike pedals are great for me who only ride miles on the freeway.
