Cannot use with timer

As others have mentioned, there's no memory, so if you use these with a timer switch then the setting is forgotten and they revert to the flash cycle every time.They're bright and plenty long enough cord for outdoor use. Just disappointing that they need to be reset every day if on a timer. Would be much better if the default setting was just plain on all the time, not one of the flashy options!
