Review on Topeak Tool Tray PrepStand Bicycle Repair by Ryan Brunson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Suitable for Performance Spin Doctor G3 stands (like Topeak). Very high quality.

Very strong, well made part. Topeak is no joke, they are a Japanese company and in my experience they only make quality tools and parts. This tool tray is made from extra thick, durable, fiber-impregnated nylon plastic. A thick steel reinforcing bar runs along the perimeter just below the outer edge. Everything about it screams tough conditions, well done, will last forever. I have a Topeak seat bag that I have had for many, many, many years and it still works. Also a great multi-tool. The assembly stand clamp consists of two parts. The main clamp doesn't hold the stick in place, it's loose enough that it can be rotated with a little pressure, so you can get it out of the way of your bike if needed. A steel collar is firmly attached to the bar underneath, on which it floats. This combination allows the tray to rotate as needed, but stays in place in an upright position. The stand I mounted it on is a Performance brand stand, the Spin Doctor Pro G3. This is a Topeak stand with Performance branding only (IOW, Topeak made it, Performance sells it under their brand). I highly recommend you save money and buy the signature Performance model, and then buy this worktable as an add-on. If you're thinking of buying a Park Tools brand stand, forget it. You have to spend a ton to get a professional parking stand, home mechanic level coasters that are affordable are flimsy garbage.
