My original pen fell apart after about 7 years of use. I had no choice but to find a replacement. Luckily Revane had them and I was able to get them the next day. Worked great, no problems right out of the box. I thought I needed to sync the pen or other tedious "settings" but... no. I immediately returned to painting. I was a bit shocked at the price, I thought these things would certainly be a little cheaper, say around $30 or less, and was surprised that they usually cost $50 or more. Yes. Let's hope the next one lasts 7-10 years.
