This refreshing grout works really well IF you apply it correctly. I used it on my tiled kitchen and bathroom floors almost 3 years ago and now it needs an update. Here's what you need to know: 1) The first step is to clean the floor VERY WELL and then let it dry completely. Any dirt or grease will affect the durability of this product. I used slightly diluted bleach to clean the entire floor before applying. 2) Use the tip of the applicator to draw a very thin touch-up line onto the grout. 3) Use a thick brush to touch up grout. Don't use a brush—a toothbrush or similar brush works best; it penetrates into the mortar surface. 4) Wait about a minute to wipe the excess off the tiles. It's basically paint - if you leave it on the tile for more than a minute or two, it hurts to remove it from the tile. 5) Use a paper towel, not a rag, to remove excess material from the tile. . The paper towel will remove the "color" from the tile, but is unlikely to remove it from the grout. 6) Wait a few hours and then use plain water and lightly wipe the floor with a mop. This will remove most of the excess on the tile without removing the paint from the grout. While this sounds complicated and time-consuming, it is not. Drying time aside, the process takes less than an hour for a medium-sized kitchen; Bathrooms take much less time. My experience was with floors in a former 35 year old house with floors that have not been maintained. Before and after photos are attached.
