I had a 1st Gen Microsoft Arc Mouse that was almost identical to this one. Unfortunately, mine died after 7 years and is no longer manufactured. This mouse is comfortable to hold, I have very large hands and my wife has very small ones and it fits us both. Tracking is really good, the three precision settings work well for drawing and other things that require more control. It has nice clicks on the main buttons. The scroll wheel has no defined segments when turning, but is also easy to control. The side buttons come in handy for browsing and other things that require frequent back and forth commands. He falls asleep after a few minutes and wakes up with a simple push. This is to save batteries. It all adds up nicely to something the size of a bar of soap that will travel great with me, hopefully for as long as my old MS mouse.
