Excellent quality chain, very heavy and strong. I will speak for my pup using body language and say that he is comfortable as he does not get mad about having something around his neck like he did with the collar also shown in the picture. In any case, I am satisfied with the purchase. he looks so good When he outgrows it in a month or two I will buy a longer length. I followed the guide as I measured his neck. He's 12" + some alterations around the neck so I went for 14" as suggested. For me it's the visual part since he's wearing a walking harness. I would say if your dog is leash trained and not pulling then this would be a good walking collar.
