I bought this no zip strap for my 3 year old to wear at night as his Spibelt zips in caught his sheet. The Spibelt zipper also sometimes curls up tight against his skin, which a preschooler, even when awake, cannot easily adjust on their own. Zipless Bandi is sleek and stays in place thanks to padded inserts sewn into the waist pouch. An insulin pump or other device is placed between two soft earbuds. While this design increases comfort, it adds bulk. We prefer Spibelt Spibelt during the day for our very active boy. Bandi also takes up more space on a child's narrow waist. It may be awkward to wear with some types of toddler clothes. Children with smaller T1Ds also wear the CGM sensor on their lower back rather than their abdomen. Bandi can be bulky for those who wear such a device around their waist and potentially interfere with the CGM sensor. Also, our son is newly potty trained and the Spibelt is best for staying out of the "line of fire" during quick potty breaks. In summary, Bandi is probably better for older kids who (a) don't run and climb constantly and (b) are better able to adjust the belt around their waistband without help. An excellent choice for night comfort. I am very happy with the purchase. Although at this price point, there's little chance I'll buy a backup.
