My wife had a 20 year old (read hardened) stone that decided to roll the countertop onto porcelain stoneware. The tile won so we needed a replacement and it worked. We love homemade pizza and if you've never used a stone before, I recommend this method for a great crust. You have to be careful not to wash with soap - we clean with a plastic scraper and then use paper towels to remove the grease. Over time, the stone becomes similar to ceramic. Great product for homemade pizza!
