This material is very soft and has a bit of stretch to allow others to give slightly larger steering wheels. it resembles the material of a wetsuit. Protects the steering wheel and your hands from burns while driving on hot days. I bought this as a gift for my uncle's partner and he loved it as not only is it functional but it has a certain 'pride' to it. my only criticism would be that the edge could be a bit shorter for thicker handlebars.
