Great gun for the price. Fairly experienced woodworker, but I'm a big fan of spray painting and didn't want to spend a lot on a gun to learn how. I bought the famous Harbor Freight Purple gun but after reading as much information as I could find on the internet I was afraid that the 1.4 tip would not spray the primer or General Finish White Polly that I use wanted to use for my project. Uses 2.5 to spray Kiltz 2 primer diluted by 10%. Might have managed to spray it straight and try in the future. I applied the first coat of White Polly 2.5 straight from the can. The second coat I used again with a 1.7 tip straight out of the can with much better results. I'll try 1.4 next time. I love the results and will definitely be spraying it on all of my larger projects from now on.
