Overall the hardware design seems pretty solid and the picture quality is decent. I was able to connect it to WiFi and download the camHi and CamHi Pro apps for comparison. CamHi was slightly better, but not by much. What I don't like: * The power cord and cables coming from the camera are ridiculously short! It won't reach your point of sale, I guarantee that. * When viewed full screen on my phone, the image is stretched so everything shrinks and there is no setting to adjust the aspect ratio. * You cannot adjust the recording time for alerts - it is 15 seconds. * You cannot adjust the frame rate - the setting is for display only. * Response time for panning and zooming is very slow and unresponsive. * No fine-tuning of the camera angle. There is no option for smooth panning. That jerky movement from point to point with no intermediate position - panning while zooming - is a nightmare. * I found that there is no default setting option. It seems like it stays in the last viewed position until it's chasing someone and then straightens out again. * Although you can set preset angles, it does not maintain the preset zoom and always returns to full wide-angle capture. The camera automatically moves between preset points. You can only enter points manually for the camera to look at that preset point. * The warning setting range is the same no matter what preset point you are viewing. You can set it to ignore half the screen. And that doesn't work either. Anyone walking nearby leaves the frame before the camera can track them. * No app for Mac OS - only PC. I don't have a PC so I can only watch on my phone and also can't watch the show on an external monitor which seems a bit silly. Overall for the price I wouldn't buy this again unless they updated the app and controls. I would return it but I was out of the country when I ordered it and didn't have time to install it in time to see actual performance. my fault
