I have a standard OEM backup camera but I also need a camera as I have a trailer that I often tow to go to the junkyard and get other items out. Installation is easy I'd say if you've delved into automotive electronics and as long as you know how DC works it should be able to hook up to the power supply which takes a bit of knowledge. As every car will be different I can't offer advice but there should be tutorials online on how to harness the power of the car anywhere. Other than that, it has really nice bright lights and guides and that helps a lot. when it comes to backing up and seeing much closer than my standard camera!
