This worked for our purpose, a raised bed for our older Jack Russell. The wood seems to be a cheaper coated pine/pressed wood. Assembly wasn’t too bad for one person, the only real issue was that the screws were a little difficult to get in, despite the predrilled holes, and care needs to be used to ensure the screw isn’t going in at an angle, which causes chipping/cracking of the wood. (I took off one star for this quality issue). I modified our bed by attaching hairpin legs (purchased separately) to give it a more modern look. The wooden slanted legs that came with it are shorter, and one had a chip at the bottom which I think would have affected stability/leveling. I read previous reviews stating people had issues with the legs. We love the final look. Added her heat pad, bedding and it fits with our decor. I’d recommend it!
