I don't understand all the good reviews because I may have a lemon but this vacuum cleaner is terrible. I have a cat and a dog. We have a rumba. That's great. I have that too and half the time I either use it as a vacuum or let the robot clean the floors. Compared to a conventional vacuum cleaner, it is quite light. Here its advantages end. He is loud. Okay, that's a vacuum. So let me just say it sounds loud on both hard and soft floors. Probably because the motor is noisy and it's also in the handle so it doesn't muffle the ground. Maneuvering is easy. The head rotates well and fits under the sofa. If you charge all night, it can work for 10-15 minutes with decent suction. I say decent because it doesn't pick up dirt from footprints near the door on the carpet very well. It does a decent job, you're very slow on a full charge. Picks up some dirt on hard floors, but not all. I have to hand it over to a handheld vacuum to pick up more than dust. He cannot pick up spilled cat litter. When the brush is running it just throws it into the brush body and when you turn it off it all falls back to the floor. When I turn the brush off, it struggles to suck up random bits of kitty litter and just scatters them, leaving almost all of them on the floor when you turn it off. My own hair keeps getting wrapped around the brush and I have to take the time to trim it which is rough and annoying. I've waited too long to get it back and now I feel like I'm stuck with a really expensive vacuum. I took it to my office thinking we could at least use it there and my assistant offered to bring her old school vacuum from home so we could use it instead. In my house we only have hard floors and then small rugs on the front and back door. In the office we have commercial grade carpeting and low pile hardwood floors. So this vacuum cleaner should be really easy to use.
