Review on ๐ŸŒˆ High-Quality Envirocare Silver/Yellow Hose for Dyson DC07 All Floors #904125-14 by Michelle Bonner

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good non-original spare part! Be careful when assembling for the first time!

I was a bit skeptical about a spare part for my two Dyson DC07. But having had to replace hose lines on both twice over the years and putting the kidney down to pay the OEM price for these parts that kept failing, I thought what the heck two hose lines is even cheaper than the price of an OEM If they fail too, if I can get out of them for at least a few months, it will be worth it. I was most concerned about some of the negative reviews: will they keep coming off and will suction be reduced due to a poor fit? So far no problems with any of the concepts. BUT I think it is very important to keep these tips in mind: 1. Before you put the new replacement hose on the grip tube - the long tube that is supposed to go inside the hose - you need to clean the outside of the tube and remove any debris. Dirt, sticky substances, etc. uses a light aerosol cleaner, spray cleaning method. Then VERY IMPORTANT. Dry the pipe VERY well. like no moisture at all. Also use your finger covered with a piece of terry cloth or a slightly textured cloth and do your best to also clean everything around the top of the tube where the top of the hose fitting enters the handle. DO NOT spray detergent. in the handle set. Again, make sure everything is dry. 2. After attaching the bottom fitting of the new hose to the base of the cleaner, carefully align the grooves on either side of the fitting with the corresponding grooves in the bottom of the cleaner. and patience when inserting the metal tube into the top fitting of the new hose. The new tube is quite narrow, so it is best to insert it slowly and in stages - similar to putting on long socks/stockings. - These stockings will definitely catch you - lift the hose or slide the hose bit by bit. Assembly will be easier and you will not tear or strain the new hose. It's easy to do.3. When it comes time to pull the hose out of the hose so you can use the hose with the tools attached, proceed similarly slowly, starting at the bottom and gently pulling the hose down and away from the bottom of the hose. DO NOT pull on the top of the handle. First, the hose binds or resists and this creates unnecessary undue stress in the area of the hose that attaches to the upper fitting. By the way, this is the area that always breaks/fails on the hoses. , several times!4. Avoid. No, actually NEVER vacuum damp or wet surfaces or wet dirt. This will get the hose, pipe and both fittings wet and once wet they will be very hard. No, it's almost impossible to ever dry completely. Then moisture, dirt, bacteria and all sorts of weird things grow in the hose, pipe and fittings. E-uh-uh, and that will cause everything to stick, stick, and then very soon snap together when you pull to try to get the hose. (Tip: In this case, use long-nosed pliers to reach the handle hole and grasp the top fitting of the tube. Then gently pull down to remove the tube. Again, be patient). When you've got a wet mess, use this dirty, wet garage vacuum instead of your pretty, sleek Dyson. But if you insist, at least now you know where to get the right replacement parts at a reasonable price, and you can save your kidneys! In short, I would refer to the general slang: stop pulling on my hose or pipe or whatever! Beautiful and easy to do. Having learned all this the hard way and through careful trial and error, I suspect that with care and patience, my new replacement hoses will serve me well (yes, plural. I bought two because both of my vacuums had ruptured hoses, and my only remaining kidney is getting tired). To find a phrase: There is nothing more satisfying than a vacuum that really sucks! Now back to my wonderful Dysons and daily dog grooming!
