I should have known so it's partly my fault but it's all cheap plastic. I installed the kit and hand tightened the nut on the back of the washer. After I couldn't tighten it by hand. I twisted it a full turn with pliers and broke the threats clean. You get what you pay for I guess. If you want a clean look you will need to sand the edges as well as they are rough and jagged (you can tell they are just out of shape and the excess hasn't been trimmed). Don't be stingy, spend a few days with the extra bucks and buy a decent one.
