2nd review after second purchase: The second phone holder was purchased for a 2017 Ford Expedition and is quite short for a large SUV. So unless you have the talent to make an extension (see photo) of about 6 inches, don't buy it. If you have about an hour and you have the tools, a piece of a broken hockey stick with one side removed will do, move on. However, the overall lower score isn't because they're too short. I knew this could happen before I ordered. It worked great in my other car for the purpose I needed when I first bought it. This time the footplate is so loose that it makes a terrible rattling noise. I try to pad it with some kind of foam but it doesn't stay in place for long. I think I'll glue the thing but it's not how it should be. In addition, it is quite durable and looks reasonably appropriate. 1st review after I bought my first one: If you want to use it with mobile phones, no problem. But with the iPad it's too heavy and I really like it. Even if it hasn't dried, typing on an iPad is difficult. Finger pressure pushes the iPad aside for the next touch. I only use my iPad as a GPS so I'm very happy with it.
