The thing works! So far the color of our seat belts has not ended up on the lower seat back.

So far, so good. We both wear leather straps that sometimes fade the color from the underside of the back cushion, which is almost impossible to remove. Someone told me about this product, so I decided to try it. When you put it on, you can't tell there's anything there. We just bought a brand new light skinned Impala and still haven't had a stain of paint on the seats (nearly 13,000 miles). The product is virtually odorless and doesn't linger at all. I intend to continue using it and will update it from time to time.
