This product was a necessary addition to Nalgene's wide mouth water bottle. This reduces the chance of accidental spills while drinking. It also helps prevent dust and debris from entering the bottle when the lid is open. Easy to install and easy to remove. On the trail, therefore, there is no problem using the filter system, which may require a wide-open mouth. This product is also durable and dishwasher safe. For the price I paid 3 packs.
