So far the only cons mentioned by some other people: if your pet is heavier, the belt buckle may slip off slowly, so the belt will become longer over time; I'm considering sewing velcro at the end of the strap to keep it in place. It doesn't slide quickly, but it does slide quite a bit, just enough for the animal to drop about an inch lower over the course of a few blocks. The rest is very good. The strap is wide enough not to hurt your shoulder and you can decide how high (or low) you want to place the animal on the chest/belly. The opening is wide enough for the animal to sit comfortably, but deep enough that it won't fall out. he decides to ride a little with me.
