Purchased for air travel with firearms. I used regular key locks and followed TSA guidelines with TSA locks on my luggage. If you trust TSA, you can also use available TSA locks on the gun case to avoid being asked to open your gun and confirm it is properly stowed. Regardless, I haven't had any of these issues or lags.
