Review on Power Probe PP3LS01 Red Circuit_Testers by Mike Kimball

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Edd China is the smartest mechanic in the world?

I read the Power Probe reviews and I have a 2000 Mercedes ML320. I have obvious electrical problems so purchasing the Power Probe was a no brainer. This allowed me to test the passenger window motor while it was in the door. I wasn't expecting much from white LEDs, but I was wrong, very wrong. They are bright and usually illuminate exactly where the probe is supposed to go. Anyway, I became so familiar with the tool that I soon recognized it in the hands of Edd Chyna (he's British), a mechanic at Wheeler Dealer. This isn't the type of product placement you see so often on the Velocity channel. After watching a few more episodes, it becomes apparent that Edd often uses him to investigate electrical problems. He never names him or lets the tool fill a frame with a visible logo - he just uses it like hell. It is made in the USA, the blown body lends itself well to tools that are well designed and well finished. The question to ask is what other tools does he use to make his job easier? Let AMZ create an inventory of Edd's tools and publish them as a wish list.

  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Very expensive
