I never thought I could love soap, but this is a miracle. I used regular dish soap to clean the bottles (I have twins so I wash LOTS of bottles). What I didn't like is that after washing the bottles at dawn, there was a strong smell of dish soap. So I decided to spend the extra money on soaps that are safe for my boys. Initially, the smell was strange (just because it smells good!) After use, there is no chemical smell, no strong soapy smell. Leaves no residue and lathers well. We just finished the pear bottle and got a sweet lullaby scent that's just as great!
