Do yourself a favor and read my review before installing. I currently have two of these drives. Both exceeded my expectations for quality and ease of assembly. I can see some people having trouble assembling this product as the instructions are far from perfect. Take my advice and this block will be both functional and a nice feature for your storage needs. Upon opening the box, you will notice several parts. Shelves, shelves and bag(s) with small parts. The small pieces are the spacers that hold the shelves in place. These washers are directional. If you look closely, they are pointed. The top is thinner than the bottom. How to mount them on the bars. (Thin side up.) They attach halfway to the pole. Make sure you use one of each part as they are different. Both thin ends are directed upwards, the thicker end downwards as they are narrowed. That connects everything. Now the shelves. If you look closely, the rounded corners of the shelves are also pointed. Less above, more below. The shelves are also carved on the round corner. This is the other side. Also to make it easier. The plinth is at the bottom of the shelf and not at the top like the railing. For easy assembly. Decide how far you want the bottom shelf off the floor. Place the plastic spacers on the corner post (in height) and slide it through the shelf, do the same for the remaining three sides. Now stand it upright on the floor and insert more spacers and shelves. It took me about 1 hour to assemble the first one, identical in size. This one wasn't that friendly. One by one, the bushings holding the shelves slid out of the groove on the uprights. By trying and swapping parts, I was able to get the shelves back in place. After a bit of troubleshooting, I think this is a shortcoming in sleeve production. Some sets don't want to be attached to a vertical bar. I switch halves until it works. As I said, this is the second rack I have collected from this manufacturer. This is the fifth unit of this design that I have purchased and assembled. All previous ones lasted 1 hour or less. This lasted 3 hours. Unacceptable for something in this price range. My initial review gave this product 5 stars. This effort only allows 2 stars. generous golden mean gives only 3.
