Review on πŸ”¨ NuMax S2 Lightweight Pneumatic Nail Gun: Ergonomic and Powerful by Andrew Kay

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Flush nail heads should be kept vertical.

I use this nailer for fine wood work. To improve binding efficiency, I used this nail gun to nail the 1/8" plywood in place while the glue cured with the 3/8" nails. At the end of the nailer is a rubber tip that protects against scratches. However, for this feature to work properly, the nose of the nailer must actually be slightly above the wood surface. With practice, you can get the nailer to insert the nail exactly flush with the nail tip, but if the nailer isn't held perfectly vertical, the "air space" between the nose and the surface of the wood will disappear and the nail will not be even. You have to use a set of nails to tap it into the last tiny piece. Not a big deal as the scratch protection is good but not exactly a labor saver as once placed I have to go through all the pins to check they are flush.
