I bought 4 of these and none of them work unless you format them to the linux filesystem (I formatted them to ext4). After formatting to ext4, Linux recognizes the drive, saved data, etc. However, after 10 minutes the drive disconnects and then remounts itself and then I get an error about the wrong filesystem and it can't read the superblock. I am extremely disappointed. I threw away all 4 CDs. Although I really like the design. It has a nice, solid, minimalist design and fits my keychain well compared to other oversized USB keychains. Read and write speeds are very slow compared to my Sandisk Flair. Opening an encrypted volume with my Sandisk Flair takes 2-3 seconds. With this USB it takes about 30 seconds. They will probably work better formatted in a Windows or iOS file system, but don't buy them to be formatted in a Linux file system (ext3 or ext4).
