Great fork kit! on Suspension

I bought this kit for my 2006 CRF250X. I had never made forks before and needed to make them quick so I was concerned. The kit arrived and I followed the book and video on YouTube. This is a simple and direct work. If you can change the tire or relocate the top, you can make NP forks. TOOLS: You should have a wrench for the top of the fork, a screwdriver for the seal, and a wrench for the hose bracket. I did it with mostly normal workshop tools and everything was fine for me. You can also. Of course it's better to have real tools, but it's possible if you're careful. I had a regular open end wrench that fit my tops ready (they weren't that tight and I didn't kill them going back.) I made a PVC gasket driver that worked fine. Make sure you use a fairly thick PVC (sorry, schedule no?). I also used the "old seal" method, which worked fine. I used a Motion Pro wrench on the hose mount, but this is done in minutes with no issues. Others have reported using an open-end wrench with no problem. I think the wrench might slip off and damage the fork! (Unfortunately the allen key didn't fit my CRF fork top. I checked out that tool too.) Kit anyway! The kit contains all the tiny particles you could wish for. I finished my work with additional things. The fit is perfect, just like Stock. Buy this kit with confidence and start making your forks. Also, don't try to save money and buy a cheaper kit without bushings. I've only had about 70 hours on my bike and the teflon bushings have worn out. You don't want to do it twice or wait a few days for parts to arrive. Also, this oil looks pretty tired. If you're just planning to do the work for an oil change, GOOD IDEA. I had to do mine because they had been leaking for months and the peel off cleaner tricks didn't work anymore. Will do my R next. TomJV
