I've been using chainsaws and the safety gear that goes with them for about 30 years so I've tried a lot on the market. I received them as a backup/credit set. I wear 34x32L pants and I have Husqvarna pants that appear to be fake and are the same size as these. First, they're significantly shorter than the Husqvarnas, at least three inches shorter. I can wear them low on my hips so they touch the tips of my toes and this coverage of my feet/ankles is adequate but not amazing. I wouldn't wear them if I was an inch taller, and I don't recommend them if you wear pants with a 34 inch inseam. This gives me maximum coverage for my ankles and feet when I'm on my knees. That's not really the case. The shin wraps are a very nice feature and they have the same coverage as my Husqvarnas. The straps are well placed and keep the pieces securely fixed throughout the range of motion. The fabric feels strong enough and the stitching looks solid. They don't have a reflective tape like the Husqvarnas, and they don't have a stupid fanny pack, which I never use. They have a waist pocket which is a little useful but nice as an option. I wear a work belt with a pocket for wrenches, wedges, hammer, etc. instead of putting things in my boyfriend's pocket. star for being shorter than they should be. more effective than the cotton style that only covers the front of the shins. If you are on a tight budget this is very good.
