We tried many different electric collars to find one that actually worked. This was purchased less than 30 days ago and used less than 4 days after being fully charged. One of the collars arrived dead so I knew that would be a problem. This constantly resulted in the battery not being fully charged in the future. What a surprise that didn't happen. I contacted the manufacturer who basically said it needs charging and limited use. Due to a dead battery, this would basically mean daily charging. They also sell batteries on their website. Maybe they do know what to do with bad batteries after all. Installing the system itself is relatively easy. Surprisingly the second remote wasn't pre-programmed into the remote so I had to. The instructions explain how to do it, not too difficult. After laying the wire, we checked the usable yard (I set the controller to 2 out of 10 rotors). The test collar flew about a foot and a half from where it was buried, causing the dogs to lose even more yards than I expected. However, with just a fully functional collar, a dog hasn't lost a single meter and is trying to roam freely, so I think it all balances out in the end.
