- Made in the USA Switched to recyclable packaging (and a typo on the back) and larger portion sizes. They also changed color. While I could care less about the colors of the packaging, I think they're very 70's and blah. MH has registered with TerraCycle. They work with MH to create recyclable packaging material, and TerraCycle then works with the consumer to collect all waste. You request a label from TerraCycle, package it, and ship it to TerraCycle. Free, free and even more free. The bags should contain all the food, but you don't need to wash or rinse them. The shipment can be of any size. They also have a points program that you can redeem for charitable gifts, food packages, or a payment to a nonprofit or school of your choice. I can't find out if TerraCycle will send you a box or not, but just keep whatever came from Revain. MH is our preferred freeze dried supplier. As survivalists and campers, we often use their products and they make up the majority of our training gear. The preparation is not limited to beans and rice (fu). We have #10 cans of these (and many other tasty ones) and packs that we use for camping and/or bags. Aside from the huge selection of really tasty stuff, we prefer this brand because they don't use any artificial flavors, colors or preservatives. They don't use salt lumps and/or citric acid as fake flavors. They never use TVP (Fake Meat). And a durability of over 30 years is unbeatable. Unlike other brands, their pouches can stand on their own, which is very useful, and the size gives you plenty of room to add water, reseal, and shake.
