THIS MARK WAS IN A PREVIOUS HOUSE AND IS IN SUPER WELL CONDITIONED. Our family has a Shih Tzu that we bought this dog for. Then our sons and daughter-in-law have two sizes of black Labs who quickly figured out how to get in and out (on their knees, pretty funny) and of course the Rat Terrier was as good as a Yorkie in no time. The dampers stayed in place, even in 20 degree frost not a single part broke or cracked and thanks to the double dampers most of the wind and the whole blizzard stayed outside. You could get cold around him. It got dirty even though we had an outside carpet. I wish we could buy an "igloo" type kennel to cut out the back and then press the unit firmly against the dog door as I think that might protect some or most of the colder weather, and people say do it anyway so the thugs don't see it and then sneak through the door. All in all yes we bought this second one to install in our new home and we highly recommend this brand. Very money well spent!
