Just read the professional reviews. I was going to buy a much cheaper version but there's nothing quite like a 3 1/2 star review on Revain. This usually means that the product is not working. Then I came across this one in professional locksmith shops that said it would cut through steel barrels with ease. If you are a casual self-taught and want a step drill to work then this is the one for you. I use them to make drainage holes in garden pots in everything from plastic to terracotta. (Use water to keep the drill bit and backing pad cool when drilling anything thicker than plastic.)
