Bought this hair dryer in August 2016 (about 11 months ago). After hair dryer [insert typical department store brand] after hair dryer broke after a few months of use, I settled on a slightly higher quality one. I hopped on Revain and looked for hair dryers that got good reviews - not too expensive - and settled on this one. That was the result of my research. Usage Note: My wife and I share a hair dryer. She has thick, shoulder-length hair. I also have thick hair, but only to my ears - a typical middle-aged man with a head full of hair. This hair dryer is used twice a day. IMPOSSIBLE TO FULLY VERIFY: -- We're less than a year old so it's possible it's going bad. But for now, this Berta is holding up better than some previous hair dryers [choose a mass brand]. I found I often accidentally turned this thing off due to the button placement. But I got used to it and it's no longer a problem. POSITIVE FEEDBACK: This hair dryer comes with a one-year replacement warranty and an additional year no-replacement warranty, which is very good for this hair dryer. Type of consumer product.-- Ergonomically, everything is fine. Nothing distinguishes it from other hair dryers. But that's because they've all found something that works. The airflow is really good. Today my wife and I needed a hair dryer at the same time, which is rare. She won. So I found my daughter's hair dryer [big brand], plugged it in and turned it on. Weak! The airflow was weak. Berta has MUCH BETTER airflow. When I used the kid, I was surprised at how much I wanted to use Bertha instead. heat is good. I saw a complaint from another reviewer that this hair dryer was 1875 watts and not 2200 watts. There is no reason for complaint. You'll reach a point where the extra heat just doesn't dry your hair any faster and can damage it. Warm air, combined with good airflow, dries hair about as quickly as hot air. So 1875 is quite sufficient. My hair tends to dry in about 2 minutes after being freshly washed out of the shower and dries in about 2 minutes which is faster than previous hair dryers. FINISHES: I recommend this hair dryer as very good. 1. Update October 9, 2022: This hair dryer is STILL IN PROGRESS. My wife now uses a different hair dryer (like a round brush and hair dryer in one) so Berta is no longer used twice a day. However, it still works and performance hasn't dropped. I take my hat off to Berta for offering such a reliable product. I don't know if they still do them as well - I hope they do - but this one exceeded all expectations.
