I'm just getting started and so far I'm very happy with my Lume Cube Mini panel. I found a small old tripod (screw) for an SLR camera that holds the light very well. It can also be hand held or placed on a flat surface. I like the ease of use: press the button and then up/down to adjust the temperature or brightness. A diffuser will also come in handy. Even at 50%, the light is too bright to look directly into. I haven't heard anything about the battery life. Charging is easy, just like an iPhone with a USB cable connected. It's now best suited to just illuminating the face as there isn't enough light and it's too small for full body shots. Overall I am very satisfied and have made a great addition to my iPhoneography toolbox.
