They aren't made the way they used to be
I bought them to wear to work as a nurse and chose them because years ago I wore Reebok all the time and they've always done well and were comfortable. However, they are now made with an unlined tongue. It's just a very hard, very hard piece of leather with nothing inside to soften your skin. The tongue constantly slides over the skin, leaving blisters on the front of both legs (yes, legs, because they're really long too!)
