The dress is nice enough for a one time Halloween costume or a dress up outfit you don't mind losing a couple sequins here and there. It was true to size and had a nice bit of stretch so you can add an extra layer of clothing underneath, which you'll probably need if you're using it for trick or treating as it's not thick at all. With that said, I wish I would have purchased ONLY the dress, or maybe even the dress and tiara. The accessories are very cheap plastic and glue and my daughter broke everything but the tiara within a few hours.
