Review on πŸ”’ LOCKDOWN GunSaver Dehumidifier: Slim, Easy-Install for Vault Humidity Control & Rust Prevention by King Reeves

Revainrating 4 out of 5

If the plastic can withstand the temperature of the stick, then everything is fine. I read so many negative comments.

To rate 5 the product must exceed all expectations. Attaching the connector to the cable seemed a little iffy, but when it arrived I just CAREFULLY plugged the cable into the connector and spliced the two pieces together. After 5 minutes the rod felt warm. I used magnetic rod holders instead of gluing or screwing them to the inside of the closet. If the plastic can withstand the temperature of the stick, then everything is fine. I've read as many negative comments as possible but I've had this safe for 20 years and haven't had any moisture issues until recently. I think it's because I don't grapple with it as much as I used to. In the spring and summer I run a dehumidifier in the room, because the room also has cupboards with ammunition and gunpowder. In winter, this room is next to the stove, so it's pretty dry there. If I wanted to add anything else it would be a small fan to keep the air circulating - there are two separate wire holes for accessories in the bottom of my safe. so that there is enough space for the circulating air. If it keeps mold from forming on leather loops or old unvarnished furniture, I'm happy. I have a degree in life sciences, but I'm not going to measure and compare humidity. I'll just judge if it's better than before. It will be months before I can honestly say it failed. The safe is warmer now and I raised the safe off the floor to allow air to circulate and avoid pinching the wires. Now for that little fan?
