Bad reviews because it arrived damaged

Dude, where do I start? First LOL on some of these reviews! Bad reviews because it arrived damaged? That doesn't even do justice to the usefulness of the products. Not as good as window block? I mean, yes, window units are effective because they don't have to be drained through a long HOT hose that's still in your house. And no one buys these units to cool the entire warehouse, so it's obvious it's going to be noisy in a small room. I would say the 10k device is very average noise wise. It'sโ€ฆ

Almost 2 years later.

!ATTENTION! SEE THE PACKAGE MANUFACTURER'S WARNINGS. DO NOT turn on this device until it has been in an upright position for at least 24 hours! With that in mind, my desert home runs through portable air conditioners like no other. Of all the units I've had around the house, this is the only one that cools quickly, efficiently, and silently, has lasted over a year of daily use, and has required NO repairs or maintenance other than draining the reservoir and cleaning the vents - The auto shutโ€ฆ

Very good unit, portable, low noise, excellent cooling

First, the system cools surprisingly well - and that's really the most important thing. At first the system seems very portable, until you realize that some of the equipment for the window portion of the install is fixed and cannot be moved to another window if you need/want to move the equipment. This means you're stuck trying to find an "accessory kit" or something from the manufacturer (which I haven't been able to yet) so you can move the device between rooms without doing anything butโ€ฆ

but we have very high humidity here and for the past few weeks my room has been like a sauna even at night

I bought this for my bedroom as our central air conditioning failed. Only plugged in, so I can't comment on durability. Quiet and efficient air conditioner

*Update* Almost 2 years later and I still love this air conditioner. I remove the breather assembly in the winter and reinstall when needed. It still cools my house as expected. I still recommend it! On my face, I'll order another one for my very hot laundry ๐Ÿ˜ ******************************** ** * ******* Sometimes online shopping is difficult because there are so many reviews everywhere. Rescue when you come home from work

This was a big purchase for me. I've never had a portable air conditioner before and didn't know what to expect. The reviews ranged from admiring to disgusting, and I was nervous when I hit the order confirmation button. Let me assure you who are reading this that this has probably been my highest purchase on Amazon. My form of living is an upstairs loft in Southern California. This is a small studio size room with one bathroom. The temperature without treatment would reach 89 degrees inside. I
