Review on 🔥 BLACK+DECKER BPACT10WT Portable Air Conditioner - 10,000 BTU, Remote Control, Cools Up to 250 Sq. Ft., White by George Mack

I bought this for my bedroom as our central air conditioning failed. Only plugged in, so I can't comment on durability. I usually get home from work after sundown, but we have very high humidity here and for the last few weeks my room has felt like a sauna even at night, constantly hovering around 80-85° no matter what. I've had this AC running for about an hour now and I'm actually COLD. It's so cool! It's not very quiet, but not too loud either; not much louder than the fans I've run over the past month. Basically sounds like any other conditioner, which is to be expected and definitely worth it. There's a slight rattle, which may be due to it being on carpet and not at 100% level, but it's not serious. The only complaint I have is the window install kit (like many others I've read on here). I bought my sister another LG portable power bank for her birthday a week ago, which came in a variety of sizes so it was easy to adjust to fit any window. This will either fit snugly or you will have to shorten the extension (the instructions recommend using a saw) or it will clog the hole. Since I didn't have a saw handy, I had to get creative. It's not pretty, but I made it! **To edit. I forgot to mention that I'm not a fan of the touch controls on the top. My cat keeps walking on it and turning it off. Mostly just an annoyance, but I wish there was a way to turn it off. Update: Bought in May and now almost in September. I've used it all summer, had no problems and it was cold in my room. The LG unit my sister has in her room is still blowing air, but now it's barely cooling. I'm so glad I bought this.
