Don't start at the bottom and roll them like hot curlers

They curled my hair without heat but the curls didn't last as long as I was hoping. It took me a minute to get used to them because initially they kept slipping out of my hair. The point is to keep them close to the scalp and then wrap the hair around them instead of starting at the bottom and twisting it like hot curlers.
