Review on πŸ”§ SRAM Level TL Disc Brake: Black Rear Brake for Right-Hand Use by David Cook

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Below average quality, durability and braking performance

Internal Piston Assembly. on the brake lever swells after repeated use, especially when the bike is ridden in hot weather. The piston appears to be an injection molded plastic part (it can also be machined since it's cylindrical) and a combination of high hydraulic pressure during braking cycles, elevated temperatures during summer driving, and a harsh chemical environment from DOT 5.1 brake fluid. ensure that this product performs below standard. Both the front and rear brakes were partially binding due to the lever not returning from the depressed position after braking. I had to loosen the torx bleed screw on the caliper to drain some brake fluid to get back to the start of the trail where I parked my car. I am upgrading my bike to install Shimano brakes asap.
