Unlike the TV, you're sitting right next to the monitors and the visible dead pixels on a brand new product that you'll be using for at least ten years, not exactly acceptably new out of the box. If it wasn't for the dead pixel then literally everything else was as expected, not as bright as a mixed backlit monitor but bright enough, speakers work, 4k looked great, shadow enhancement was an unexpected bonus playing these games in the dark would let environments be seen much easier. (Update, there is another one with no dead pixels, great looking monitor. The base has quite long legs, make sure you have enough space on your desk so you don't bump into the base with your mouse.) ASUS provides make some great monitors. bet 5/5.
