I really bought this for the iodine content to give to my Akita puppy. She was puffing up her puppy fur and it was pretty patchy. Within 1 week of feeding them seaweed with each meal (three times a day), their fur looks like that of an adult Akita. She is piebald and the contrast in her coat is just beautiful, the white of her legs is light and her back and muzzle are jet black. The Akita suffers from iodine deficiency and there really is no dog food you can buy to meet this need, so supplements must be used. There is no more natural way to inject her than seaweed powder. I really can't tell you if she likes the taste or not because I could pretty much cut open a pair of shoes and she would eat them with great pleasure. smile on her face.
