Review on πŸ’§ Camco 40043 TastePure RV/Marine Water Filter: Ultimate Protection Against Bacteria, Bad Taste, Odors, Chlorine & Sediment in Drinking Water! by Brian Nelson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Stop the nasty water at some campsites! The taste of the water is now normal.

We're tired of drinking bottled water everywhere and using all those plastic bottles that are bad for the environment. So we decided to go the water filter route. After doing some research, I settled on this one for a number of reasons. First, it's built-in and attaches to the RV or faucet end of your hose. Just make sure the arrow is pointing in the right direction! ;) Second, it's small enough to fit in the water/TV/connection compartment on the side of our 5th wheel. I hook mine to the end of the camper to prevent any thought of anyone stealing it (not that campers are like that, just to get rid of the temptation). Fitting is easy, look for the flow arrow on the side of my RV. and then connect the water supply hose to the filter. NOTE: BEFORE connecting to the water supply for the first time, flush it by connecting the water supply hose and running the water through it until the water runs clear. It will turn black and gray within a minute because this filter uses activated carbon as part of the filtration system and needs to be flushed before use. After use, I empty out all the water I can by just shaking it and letting it dry for a bit. Haven't had any problems with it yet. It is also recommended to change it every season. Depending on how much water you run through your system and how long you use your RV, I would say this is an average to normal reading. But if you work full time I would change it about every 4-6 months. We don't live in our own yet and will change it every season. I highly recommend this filter to get rid of the nasty water at some campsites and to help eliminate bottled water waste. I have to write this review. I'm doing this to help others in the Revain community! Feel free to leave a comment and let me know if I've been of any help to you and check below if this review might be helpful.
