I have given this item 3 stars but please note I am not using it for drinking water. I purchased this item to see if it would help reduce watermarks while in the car. I'm not sure if this is a myth or not, but clean water isn't supposed to leave water stains on cars, even if you wash them in the sun. After washing the car and filtering the water with this item, I still have water stains on the car just like when I didn't have this filter on the hose.

This is an activated carbon sediment filter. If this. The water entering this filter has been tested on 3 calibrated machines at 520 PPM inlet and 516 PPM outlet. I tested 3 filters and they were all purchased from different places months in advance. Filters are literally crap filters, and if you think it's safer to drink water through that hose, then you really are in danger. Check out reverse osmosis and save your health and money. Avoid using them unless you know what they actually do.
