When I bought this product the whole purpose was to get something that was not going to make a mess. Boy, was I wrong I did more cleaning as if I was using a regular roller. I got these because I like using big ice cubes, both the spheres and the cubes for my drinks. The larger ice works better and looks cooler for your standard drink. This set made it easy to make either shape of ice in just the right size. The ice fits great in your standard drink glass, and the ice lasts a long time, usually through two or three drinks. These red, white and blue lights are bright. I put them up for 4th of July and they looked fantastic. There are different modes. My fave is the chasing flash mode. The reason I didn't give any stars for remote control is because there isn't one and I did not see it advertised.
