The cutting mat is amazing. Contrary to many reviews mentioning the lack of "self-healing", I found that after cutting many different things on it (from paper to fabric to cardboard) there was no trace. It still looks like new. In addition, the knife works very well. I've listened to the reviews that mentioned the knife loosening during projects and kept checking and found that at no point during the check did the screw come loose. that was a lot. I'm just having trouble getting precisely straight cuts as I don't have x-ray vision to see the rest of the lines underneath the items I cut. LOL He can't do any of that (and I can't) can he? This is a great product at a very affordable price.
