HD audio passthrough to old AVR

I don't often write reviews. Let me preface that when it was needed I ordered 5 more 4K splitters and this particular model (including another U9 model) was the best model. The material is metal (as opposed to plastic) and all ports are on the same side, which is a plus. Some other devices had cables going in and out at both ends, making placement in my media cabinet awkward. There are very bright blue lights that are ALWAYS on when the device is online. This was fixed with a piece of black tape. I need this product because I have a 2009 Pioneer AVR that only has 1080p output back to the TV. As such, I needed to be able Split the 4K video signal from my Nvidia Shield Pro (2019 model) to my 4K Dolby Vision TV (Sony X900H) and route HD audio (Dolby TrueHD and DTS-MA) to my receiver for processing. .Scripts are printed on the bottom of the unit and various key switch configurations are displayed as needed. My setup above required a 4th configuration. So I had to flip the EDID switch from "AUTO" to "OUT1" and had the "AVR" and "4K TO 1080p" switches on. was available and asked if I wanted to use it. After a few seconds, the Shield will correctly output Dolby Vision to the TV. I've been able to test this in both Disney+ content and files on my media server playing in Kodi (Leia Build 18.9). I've already watched several movies on Kodi and finished watching WandaVision on Disney+ and U9. ViewHD UHD1X2SA just works. This way I can still get HD audio from my old AVR while still getting the best picture from my Shield and 4K TV. I contacted support twice as I wasn't sure which model to buy to get the above results. . The same day I received an email telling me that the ViewHD UHD1X2SA was the right solution for my setup. Customer service even went so far as to call me to discuss my setup in detail. When I received the device I was unable to set the rocker switches correctly and contacted support again.
